Breast implant checks are available at Absolute Cosmetic for patients who would like their implants reviewed, especially if:

  • The implants are over 10 years old
  • The implants are not sitting correctly
  • The patient is experiencing pain or discomfort
  • The patient has unknown implant type
  • The implants are heavily textured or teardrop-shaped and may be affected by recent treatment withdrawals (see Edit to follow and Edit to follow websites for updates)

If you have already had an ultrasound or MRI, please forward your results to our reception team ahead of time so they can be reviewed during your appointment.

Breast implant checks incur a standard fee. After your appointment, you’ll receive an itemised receipt that you can submit to Medicare for any rebate you’re entitled to.

Yes, you can still get your breast implants checked without a Medicare card, but you will be not be eligable for a medicare rebate.
