Non-Surgical Fat Removal & Body Sculpting Treatment

CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive fat freezing treatment that can reduce small areas of fat without surgery, and most people return to their usual activities soon after treatment. This body sculpting treatment

may suit people who are at a stable weight but still have small to moderate areas of fat that haven’t responded to diet or exercise. It is not a weight-loss treatment.

As a non-surgical fat reduction option, CoolSculpting® works by applying controlled cooling to targeted fat cells. The cold causes some of the fat cells in the treated area to break down, and the body then gradually clears them through its natural processes. Over the following weeks, this may reduce the amount of fat in the treated area. Results vary between individuals, and more than one treatment may be needed.

How long does a CoolSculpting session take?

A session typically takes 35-60 minutes depending on the treatment area. Downtime is typically minimal, meaning you can return to your usual activities soon after treatment.

When will I see results?

Some people notice gradual changes from around 2-3 weeks. Any reduction usually continues to develop over 2-3 months as your body clears the treated fat cells. Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.

Is CoolSculpting painful?

Most people feel intense cold and some pulling or pressure when the applicator is first applied, which usually eases as the area becomes numb. Afterwards, the treated area may ache, tingle, or feel tender or numb for several days to a few weeks. Your practitioner will talk you through what to expect.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of treatments varies from person to person and depends on the area being treated and your goals. Some people choose a second treatment to the same area. Your practitioner will discuss a personalised plan with you during your consultation.

What are the side effects?

Common side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, tingling, stinging, aching, itching, tenderness and numbness in the treated area. These usually settle within days to weeks, although numbness can last longer. Less common but more serious risks include paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (a gradual enlargement of fat in the treated area, which may need surgery to correct), cold injury to the skin, prolonged pain and changes in skin colour. Your practitioner will explain the risks at your consultation so you can make an informed decision. As with any medical procedure, you may wish to seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner before proceeding.

How much does CoolSculpting cost?

Cost varies depending on your treatment area and number of sessions. A consultation with our team will determine your personalised pricing. View our current per session pricing here.

What body areas can be treated?

CoolSculpting works on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, chin, and back. Your practitioner will assess which areas suit your goals.

Are the results permanent?

Fat cells that are cleared from the treated area do not grow back. However, the remaining fat cells in the area and elsewhere in the body can still grow if you gain weight, so maintaining a stable weight and a healthy lifestyle helps preserve your results. Results vary between individuals.

How is CoolSculpting different from surgery?

CoolSculpting is non-invasive and does not involve incisions or anaesthesia, and most people return to their usual activities soon after treatment. It is designed for smaller areas of fat. Surgical options such as liposuction can remove larger volumes of fat in one procedure but involve anaesthesia and a longer recovery. Each option has its own risks, and your practitioner can help you decide which is more suitable for you.

Can I combine CoolSculpting with other procedures?

Yes. Many clients combine CoolSculpting with skin treatments or other treatments for comprehensive results. Your practitioner will recommend the best approach.
